Making Mlouye

Under one roof

Our bags are developed and made in Istanbul, where design and production take place under one roof.

From the first prototype to the finished piece, each design is developed in-house. Forms are tested and refined through construction, allowing proportion, material and function to evolve together.

Materials

We work with leathers, canvases and fabrics sourced from Italy, selected according to the particular requirements of each design. Materials are cut, finished and assembled in our Istanbul atelier, where some of Mlouye's most intricate constructions bring together numerous individual components.

By hand

Many Mlouye designs are built from individually cut and finished components, brought together through a combination of precise assembly and handwork. The complexity of the construction is often concealed in the finished piece, leaving the form to appear effortless.
